Restaurant by day. Nightclub by night. DiResto handles the transformation automatically.
Follow a full day-night cycle. Watch one venue transform — and the system that orchestrates it.
The morning crew clocks in. Tables are managed on the floor grid, kitchen stations are routed for breakfast prep, the Customer App shows the brunch menu. Waiters take orders on their app. The POS shows standard pricing. No bar tabs, no door management, no service tickets — those features are dormant, invisible to the staff. It is a restaurant, and the system behaves like one.
Still restaurant mode. The dinner menu activates — same products, different pricing tiers via time-based pricing rules. Reservations from the booking calendar fill the floor. The operations dashboard shows table turnover metrics and waiter section performance. A party of 12 arrives for a birthday — the VIP booth mode gives them premium treatment at the reserved long table.
DiResto checks the hybrid schedule: nightlife start time is set to 9:00 PM. The admin sidebar already shows all nightlife sections — they are always visible for hybrid venues so managers can prepare. Staff who work both modes can see the mode badge about to change. The last dinner bills are settling up. The bar back is restocking stations for the night ahead.
Automatically, the venue transforms. No one presses a button. No one changes a setting. The system reads the clock and activates six capabilities simultaneously. The Door App comes alive for check-ins and entry fees. Service tickets are now required for every item. Bar tabs can be opened. Time-based pricing switches to nightlife rates. Capacity tracking begins monitoring occupancy. Every new order is stamped with venue_mode='nightlife' for split reporting later.
When nightlife end time hits, restaurant mode returns. The night's performance is captured in nightlife-specific reports — door entries, service ticket reconciliation, bar tab summaries. The day's performance will be captured in standard restaurant reports. Both feed into the Unified Revenue report, which shows the complete 24-hour picture. A new breakfast shift begins, and the cycle repeats.
Six capabilities activate simultaneously when the clock crosses your configured nightlife start time.
venue_mode='nightlife' so revenue splits cleanly in reportsThe function is_nightlife_active() is time-aware. It checks the current time against your schedule. For overnight venues (9 PM to 6 AM), it correctly handles the midnight crossover — when the start time is greater than the end time, the system knows the schedule wraps past midnight. Your staff doesn't toggle anything. Your managers don't flip a switch. The system knows what time it is, and it acts accordingly.
The Unified Revenue report breaks down income by venue mode, time period, and payment method — breakfast revenue next to late-night bar revenue in the same view.
